We are excited to announce the names of the school-based health programs that will be participating in our School-Based Health Center Food Access Learning Network with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry! These school-based health centers (SBHCs) will be implementing integrated food access interventions at their centers and sharing their strategies to create a best practices Toolkit.
Alongside No Kid Hungry, we will be working to embrace and build on families’ trust in SBHCs to promote federal nutrition programs and nutritious food consumption in support of favorable health outcomes and improved food security. We see the incredible opportunity for engagement and impact in the school-based health care space and are eager to support the work of SBHCs through a learning cohort with the primary purpose of addressing childhood hunger and improving dietary health outcomes by integrating food access and preventative care.
