SBHA Presents at 2024 National Association of Community Health Center (NACHC) Policy & Issues Forum
The School-Based Health Alliance was thrilled to run an exhibitor booth at last week’s 2024 National Association of Community Health Center (NACHC) Policy & Issues Forum in Washington, D.C., where our team connected with hundreds of passionate FQHC staff from across the country interested in or already running school-based health centers. From Connecticut to Colorado, Louisiana to Alaska, our team spoke with FQHC leaders on the ground from over 30 + states, a majority of whom expressed plans to either expand to schools/SBHCs or open more SBHCS and expand services already offered, with funding being the most common barrier expressed. Our team introduced attendees to SBHA’s mission, advocating for and advancing high-quality health care for the most vulnerable youth via our work in policy, standards, data, and training around school-based health and SBHCs. Many FQHC staff expressed interest in utilizing SBHA’s free resources and toolkits, as well as exploring our premier consulting services to support them in their long-term work to plan, implement, operate, evaluate, and improve school-based health care.
