Harper Byers, B.A.
Portfolio: Youth Development and Consulting & BPHC
I joined SBHA in 2021 and am thrilled to be in the school-based health field. In my current role, I oversee the SBHA Youth Advisory Council, coordinate the ‘Be the Change’ Youth Training Program, and co-develop and co-facilitate Youth Development trainings in our programs and consulting work. Some of my other work at SBHA includes supporting programs, consulting work, and whatever else the team needs.
Before coming to SBHA, I worked for the Health Education Department of Seattle Public Schools on projects relating to reproductive healthcare access. I graduated from Colgate University in 2020 with a degree in Anthropology and Sociology. While completing my degree, I researched and published an honors thesis focusing on informal networks of sex education among both American and Moroccan youth.
Originally from Seattle, I currently live and work in New York City. When I’m not cooking for my friends, I love to read, do puzzles, and explore New York with the hope of finding the best Chinese food.
