René Campo, M.S.

Senior Vice President of Organizational Development and Marketing

I believe in the power of continuous learning and development for all ages and industries and bring my expertise to the School-Based Health Alliance as the Senior Vice President of Organizational Development and Marketing.

I have inspired and developed individuals for 25+ years in the collegiate and business arenas as a professor and corporate trainer. My most recent career in higher education includes positions of academic advisor, enrollment counselor, career and entrepreneurship coach and director of corporate outreach. Prior to that I worked in corporate positions in various industries, such as Transportation and Shipping, Corporate Travel, and eCommerce.

My belief and experience in education drives my conviction in the overall mission of school- based health care which enables every child and adolescent access to comprehensive health services within their educational environment. Healthy students are better learners, and academic success bears a lifetime of benefits for health.

My academic degrees are rooted in business with a BS in Business Administration and an MS in Management with a concentration in Training and Development. I have a focus on developing women in professional positions and most recently completed a certificate in Women’s Leadership from Cornell University. As a military spouse for almost 30 years, I have had the great fortune of living and working around the world and in various states and currently live in Maryland with my husband John, a Brigadier General in the US Air Force and my son Jack, a college student in Philadelphia, PA.
